HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS:
Maumee Chamber of Commerce Announces
Availability of Three 2012 Scholarships

The Maumee Chamber of Commerce has announced the availability of scholarships for high school graduating seniors. In addition to students attending Maumee High School, those attending private high schools or enrolled in certified home school programs are eligible to apply, as long as their primary residence is in the Maumee City school district.

Three $1,000 Scholarships are being offered for any business or professional field, which may include, but not limited to, health, business, professional, teaching, public service, culinary, trade, art or vocational.

Consideration will be based on current achievements in academics, extra curricular activity, community service and financial need. We are looking for any student dedicated to furthering their education. This can mean a 4-year degreed program at an accredited college, or a 2 or 4-year vocational-type school.

Student Business Fair - March 2011 (date tba)

Location: Maumee High School, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Business Fair is designed to provide the Chamber members an opportunity to spotlight their businesses to the high school students. Whether your business includes teens as your target market or your business benefits from teenage employees, the fair is an excellent source to recruit or introduce your services to the students.

Each vendor will be provided with an 8' table and 2 chairs. There is no cost to participate. Our goal is to educate students about what the community offers and to stimulate direction for their future.

Contact DECA Instructor Ann Hale, 419-893-0324 or email if you want to reserve a space or have any questions.
