Welcome to Maumee, Ohio

MaumeeChamber.jpgWhether you are coming as a visitor or planning to relocate, we have the resources to make you feel at home for a few days or many years. Learn about our community, where the quality of life is high, the weather is mild and the people are friendly.

Maumee is situated on the northern shore of the great Maumee River, just southwest of the City of Toledo, and is home to the beautiful 100-acre Side Cut Metropark. We are fortunate enough to have great walleye fishing in the spring, a wonderful neighborhood park system, an exciting waterslide park, indoor recreation facility, performing arts center, new shopping mall, restored movie house, and many of our architectural gems of early America are still prominently displayed in the community. Our neighborhoods and uptown business section reflect the charm of our historic heritage.

While proud of our past, we are a modern, progressive community of 15,600 residents. Maumee fosters community spirit through an excellence rated school system, superior youth programs, churches and various service organizations. Imagine a place where your company can grow in an aggressive business park and your employees can raise their families in a relaxed, small-town atmosphere.

Maumee Received Three Recognition Awards
In 2006, the City of Maumee acquired the national recognition of an official "All-America City" from the National Civic League. In addition, Maumee was included in "Best Places to Raise Your Family - the Top 10 Affordable Communities in the U.S.", published by Frommers. And, Ohio Magazine designated Maumee as one of "Ohio's Five Best Hometowns."

We are proud of all of these awards, but most importantly, it takes a lot of people working together to make it happen, and in Maumee we have just that!
